A group of German agents organized in New York in September 1914 to fight the enemies of Germany on the American continent. Members of the group included Franz von Papen, military attache and future chancellor of Germany, Karl Boy-Ed, naval attache and future chief of German naval intelligence, Bernhard Dernburg, the former colonial secretary and close friend of the Kaiser, and Heinrich Albert, the brilliant chief of the Secret War Council.
